Thyssen Museum Guided Tour
1.30-hour private tour at the Thyssen
Acquired by the Spanish State in 1993, the superb collection – one of the most important art collections assembled in the 20th century – built up by the Thyssen family (a family of German industrialists who founded and ran the company of the same name, specializing in the production of steel) is today a encyclopedic museum that makes a true synthesis of Western painting with the presence of most European and North American art styles between the 14th and 20th centuries.
Our guide will accompany you to the heart of the museum’s greatness. Dürer, Titian, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Canaletto, Monet, Degas, Morisot, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kirchner, Kandinsky, Goncharova, Francis Bacon, O’Keeffe, Hopper, Dalí, and Pollock are just a few of the many great masters that make up its collection.
Once the tour is over, you can still stay and visit the superb temporary exhibitions that the Thyssen offers.
