Most companies offer a similar package to Rioja Region. They often include 2 or 3 wineries, a trip around the region and a lunch in Laguardia (a must-see village). Your delightful journey into the Rioja Wine Country will begin at a modern family winery to learn about the winemaking process for the different classifications of Rioja Red wines: Joven, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva and you will also learn about the different kinds of oak barrels used to age these wines, ending the visit with a wine tasting. After this, we will visit the historic Train Station Quarter in Haro, a magical journey to the birth place of Rioja Wine where we will taste different well-known wines. Then, you will enjoy a delicious Riojan lunch in the charming 10th century medieval village of Laguardia.

In this tour, you will learn the differences of how wine was made in the past and today, We will visit a 5th generation family winery where they maintain the ancient method of wine production. : the grape stomping.
We will go to the Train Station Quarter in Haro ( where there are 7 centennial wineries) to taste their historic wines and to learn how and why the Rioja Region became such a famous wine producing area.
We will visit a 3rd generation family winery to do a special tasting to appreciate the differences between French, Hungarian and American Oak barrels.
We will go to a medieval 10th century village called Laguardia for lunch where we will have great tasting Spanish food and later walk through its charming streets.
